On an old site, the extension of a Conservatory, the creation of an auditorium and their confrontation with Contemporary Art.
The construction in the heart of the block of two « public » buildings such as the auditorium-theater and the Center for Contemporary Creation is an opportunity to create an authentic urban system, which respects and takes into account all the historicity of the site and the city of Tours.
In this sense, our project is first and foremost an urban project. But even more, by creating tension between the two main buildings to be created:
the auditorium-theater and the Center for Contemporary Creation – linked to each other by a founding axis – our project aims in its entirety to become a public place, a meeting place, a dynamic place between the offices of a Regional Conservatory, and the questions of an Center of Contemporary Art
